I make guacamole a lot. A LOT. I made it last night even.
I just posted a guacamole recipe on CulinaryCulture that all of you should try some time.
Three fun facts
- Avocados are really good for you! Though high in fat, its the good kind of fat. They’ve even been known to lower bad cholesterol and raise good cholesterol. Also they have more potassium than bananas!
- It’s thought that the word avocado comes from the Nahuatl word ahuacatl meaning “testicle”. Yum!
- Many store bought guacamoles only contain 2-25% avocado, the rest is hydrogenated oils and artificial colors. Yuck!
